http://bryanlee.wordpress.com/2008/01/30/vonage-voip/ [Bryan's .02] I recently subscribed to Vonage so that I can keep in touch while I am traveling.  It’s only requirement, aside from paying the 24.99 monthly fee, is that you have a computer with a broadband internet connection and a USB port.  There are two ways you can use Vonage’s service.  You can use the service as an alternative for home phone service or you can use it on the go with their V-Phone option.

Tech blog[Tech blog] Vonage chief stays sunny about the future: Thanks to the entry of bulky cable and phone companies, VoIP is quickly turning into a giveaway product as part of a larger pack that also includes wireless, video and high-speed data. The customers experience the savings, too, often paying little for a phone plan that enables them to essentially make endless amounts of calls over the VOIP systems.

The gowholesale Blog[The gowholesale Blog] What’s up with VoIP?: It can eat up some of your bandwidth and make your internet run slower. You run the risk of getting cut off if your internet cuts out unexpectedly and for some reason, there is often a delay and/or echo when making calls (likely due to the way the computer must break apart your voice and then put it back together on the other end?).
