Watching Skype. Digesting Skype. Testing Skype Gadgets.: Using powerful AES encryption technology, the iOpus Private Internet Gateway (iPIG, http://www.iopus.com/ipig/?ref=n50) creates a secure "tunnel" that protects your inbound and outbound communications (Email, Web, IM, VOIP, calls, FTP, etc.) at any Wi-Fi hotspot or wired network.Your sensitive information is not only protected between your computer and the wireless access point you're using, but all the way to iOpus' secure connection servers deep in the Internet. This ensures that your data can't be easily hijacked through the air and at the point it transitions to a "wired" Ethernet connection. (via Cosmos)

http://blog.tmcnet.com [Blog.tmcnet.com] VoIP Blog and Podcast by Erik Lagerway: I am not surprised, in conversation with one of their CSRs (trying to upsell me to Shaw Digital Voice) it was clear to me that they do not want to be associated with VoIP, even though they are doing POTs replacement using VoIP. VON or Voice On the Net show participation would potentially blow their cover.

http://www.blueboxpodcast.com [Blueboxpodcast.com] Blue Box: The VoIP Security Podcast: This was a joint interview between myself and Mikey from the Pulvermedia Podcasting Network where I first talked about Blue Box and then discussed the security presentations that were here at the show, spoke a bit about SPIT and then relayed other thoughts about the show this year.  Mikey also talked a bit about what he and his colleague Laura have been doing there at their booth talking to people about podcasting and interviewing various folks (those interviews are available here)

[Realtime Community | Unified Communications] Plans for the Internet Telephony Expo: I've posted several times that I'm attending the Internet Telephony Expo in San Diego next week from October 10th-13th. It's going to be a huge event with thousands of people from around the world attending.

[CScout TrendBlog] Trend: Skypecasting: Skypecasting is a merger of Skype and podcasting, as the new services allows to share recorded conversations as well as live conversations via Internet telephony. In general the Skypecast live conversation is controlled by the host, who can mute or blend out disruptive participants.
